Kogi is set to cling gold medal in boxing as Celestina Ekele is to face her Delta state counterpart in the ongoing National Sports Festival.

In the meantime Taiwo Sikirat and Shogo Anioluwapo have both won bronze medals in boxing for kogi state in a fiercely fought game.

The duo won the bronze medals after losing to Ogun and Bayelsa respectively.

The Kogi state Boxing Coach, Uloko Dan Ekele, commended the duo for winning the medals and making the state proud.

He expressed hope that Celestina Ekele who is routing for gold in the boxing bout would come out victorious.

Speaking on the development, the National Boxing Coach from Kogi state, Musa Omale described the feat as a welcome development.

The Director Sports Development, Kogi state Ministry of Youths and Sports, Mr David Ogazuma congratulated the duo for winning bronze and expressed confidence that Celestina Ekele would win gold for the state.
