The Barbara Eleojo Jitoboh Foundation, in collaboration with the Care for Life Initiative and Empowerment, proudly participated in the Children’s Day celebration in Idah. The event was marked by a vibrant atmosphere, showcasing the local government’s commitment to the welfare of its youth.

Honorable Alhaji Alilu, the Chairman of the Local Government, commended Chief Mrs. Barbara Eleojo Jitoboh, the CEO of the foundation, for her unwavering support of local government initiatives. Her contributions have significantly enhanced community programs aimed at fostering the development of children and youth.

During the celebration, the foundation distributed educational materials to pupils and secondary school students, reinforcing its commitment to supporting government programs that prioritize education. Chief Jitoboh expressed her dedication to continuing this support, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between non-governmental organizations and local authorities.

In her remarks to her media team, Chief Jitoboh congratulated the Kogi State government and the Idah Local Government Council for their initiative to revive the Children’s Day March Pass. She described this year’s celebration as a resounding success and a testament to the community’s spirit.

Chief Jitoboh, the IYE-ATEKO also took the opportunity to address the pressing issue of bullying. She urged parents, guardians, teachers, and coaches to unite in the fight against this pervasive problem, which can manifest in various forms—physical, verbal, psychological, and online, commonly referred to as cyberbullying. She emphasized the need for collective action to protect children and ensure they retain their identity and confidence.

In closing, Chief Jitoboh expressed her heartfelt prayers for the Nigerian child, hoping they will always embrace their unique identity and self-worth.
