The Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Hon. Kingsley Fanwo, has extended warm felicitations to the Chief Servant of the State, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, and the Muslim Ummah in Kogi State and across Nigeria on the occasion of Eid-el Kabir.

In a statement issued on Friday, June 6, 2025, Hon. Fanwo described Eid-el Kabir as a profound reminder of the virtues of sacrifice, obedience, and unwavering faith in Allah, exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (AS).

“I extend my heartfelt greetings to the Chief Servant of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, and to the Muslim faithful across the state and the nation on this sacred occasion of Eid-el Kabir,” the Commissioner stated.

He emphasized that the festival is a time for sober reflection on the selfless and devoted life of the Holy Prophet, urging the Muslim Ummah to uphold the enduring values of tolerance, charity, and unity.

“Eid-el Kabir reminds us of the noble virtues of sacrifice, obedience, and absolute trust in Allah, as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim, who was willing to surrender everything to fulfill God’s command. It is a season to reflect deeply on these timeless values,” Fanwo added.

Hon. Fanwo also commended Governor Ododo for his unwavering commitment to unity, peace, development, and the security of lives and property in the state. He called on citizens to continue supporting the Governor as his administration works tirelessly to deliver transformational progress across all sectors.

He concluded by encouraging Muslims to celebrate responsibly and to spread love and compassion during the festive period. He prayed that Allah accept their sacrifices and bless their homes with joy, peace, and prosperity.
