Sporadic Gunfire Causes Panic in Egbe Community**

Yesterday night gunfire near Aisha Hotel, close to the newly established military base supported by Sunday Karimi, has instigated widespread panic among the residents of Egbe. The community remains in a state of fear as armed assailants continue to terrorize the community.

The escalating insecurity in the Local Government Area has become a significant concern for both the state government local government authority and citizens alike. Local sources, who wish to remain anonymous, suggest that the recent violence may be linked to the government’s suspension of operations at the Kara Market located at the outskirts of Egbe Township.

It is worth noting that the traditional ruler of Okoloke was recently released by kidnappers after enduring several weeks in captivity. This incident underscores the ongoing threat posed by armed groups in the Council Area.

The actions of these gunmen represent a serious challenge to the military personnel stationed at the base in Egbe, raising questions about the effectiveness of security measures in place to protect the community.
