Still as part of activities to mark the 50th Birthday Anniversary of former Governor Yahaya Bello, the Kogi State Commissioner For Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engr. Bashiru Gegu has empowered and supported 150 widows with the sum of N30,000 each and wrapper to commemorate what he described as his boss’s and Godfather’s 50th birthday.
This is as the Commissioner disclosed, that 2027 will be seamless for the APC from top to bottom across the country, disclosing that it will be a walk over for the APC in Kogi State.
In his usual tradition, Engr. Bashiru has always set aside every 18th day of June to celebrate and appreciate what he term the love “my Boss has for me and the human transformation he did to me”.
The Commissioner who has remained an untainted and loyal follower of former Gov Yahaya Bello did not mince words as he was full of praises and happiness, celebrating his boss, said our Leader is a rare gift to humanity, needs to on be celebrated for all he represents to the world, ” a game changer and lover of Kogi State and Nigeria as a whole”.
“Recalled that former Governor Yahaya Bello, leader of Kogi State and my mentor Former Governor Yahaya Bello celebrated his 50th birthday anniversary on the 18th of June, 2025. I was absent and traveled out of the country due to a state assignment”.
“I planned this years 50th birthday to use it in touching the lives of widows positively. This is as a mark of respect and to reciprocate the love my Boss and mentor former Governor Yahaya Bello CON has for me and humanity as a whole.
“Let me also use this opportunity to appreciate my Boss my Governor, our Governor, Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo for making our job easier. His love for humanity, his love and loyalty to my mentor is second to none hence we are at peace always”.
