The Okun League of Progressives Elite recently paid a courtesy visit to the Kogi Commissioner for Environment and Ecological Management, Engineer Olusegun Joseph, at his office. The purpose of this visit was to express their unwavering support for the re-election campaign of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.

During the meeting, the League announced their initiative to engage and mobilize the entire elite class of Okun land in preparation for the upcoming elections. They pledged to ensure the full participation of all eligible voters in Okun land, emphasizing their commitment to strengthening voter registration efforts. To facilitate this, they plan to appoint five coordinators for each polling unit.
The League also sought the Commissioner’s support and encouragement in their endeavors to turn these goals into reality. They took the opportunity to congratulate the Commissioner on the remarkable success of his recently concluded farmers’ empowerment program.
In response, the Commissioner commended the League for their proactive approach and urged them to adopt strategies that encourage collaboration among individuals across the political spectrum. He emphasized the importance of unity in working towards the goals of Governor Ododo’s administration. The Commissioner expressed his commitment to partnering with the League to achieve optimal results in the forthcoming elections.
He encouraged the League to foster ongoing collaboration among all stakeholders across the five local government areas in Okun land, highlighting the significance of collective efforts in achieving their shared objectives.
The Commissioner assured the Okun Elite League that he and his political team are fully committed to embracing the league’s vision and mission.
He expressed his readiness to champion all their initiatives for the betterment of the people in Okun land.
