The Member representing Ajaokuta Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Hon Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem, has commended the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman for his unwavering commitment to rural development and the upliftment of Kogi communities.

The member who stated this in a message of appreciation to the Governor over his visit to Adogo to flag-off the 12.5km Unosi–Odonu–Ogigiri Rural Road, noted that the road is not just a path, saying that it is a gateway to opportunity, improved trade, agricultural expansion, and a better quality of life for the people of the area.

Hon. Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem, described the road project as a development that will no doubt transform the socio-economic landscape of the area and thank the Governor for being a forthright leader, who puts the wellbeing of his people first, above every other consideration.

The statement in full

On behalf of the good people of Ajaokuta, I express my profound gratitude to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for his unwavering commitment to rural development and the upliftment of our communities.

Your vision for an inclusive Kogi State where development reaches every corner, has once again been demonstrated in the Flag-off of the 12.5km Unosi–odonu–ogigiri Rural Road, a project that will no doubt transform the socio-economic landscape of our area. Thank you for being a forthright leader, one who puts the wellbeing of his people first.

My sincere appreciation also goes to Hon. Taiye Abanika, the Honourable Commissioner for Urban and Regional Development, for his dedication and tireless efforts towards improving infrastructure across the state.

Special thanks to Hon. Aliyu Haruna Ogido, Chairman of Ajaokuta LGA, thank you for your relentless service to the people.

I acknowledge the royal blessing and presence of His Royal Highness, the Ohi of Ajaokuta, HRH Isa Musa Achuja, and other traditional rulers.

The esteemed party leader, Hon. Balogun Yusuf, local government leaders, and party stakeholders, special Advisers to the Governor, Hon Dr Sandra Musa, special adviser to the governor on SEMA, Hon. Haruna Ganaja, and all special advisers present, your leadership continues to inspire unity and progress.

A big thank you to Hon. Lawal Idris, and Hon. Mohammed Achema former House of Representatives member representing Ajaokuta Federal Constituency and Hon. Jibril the Honourable Member representing Ajaokuta State Constituency, for their unrelenting service and representation.

I am equally grateful to the two collaborating bodies, Kogi State Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (KG-RAAMP) in conjunction with the Kogi State Ministry of Energy and Rural Development, whose partnership made this project a reality. Your synergy is a shining example of how institutions can work together for the greater good of our people.

The list is endless and I am eternally grateful to every dignitary present at the flag off event.

I also appreciate all political appointees, women groups, youth organizations, security agencies, and dignitaries whose presence graced the event and demonstrated the strength of our community spirit.

To the men and women of the media, we say thank you for amplifying the voice of development and ensuring that this landmark achievement is recorded in history.

This road is more than just a path, it is a gateway to opportunity, improved trade, agricultural expansion, and a better quality of life for our people. Together, we celebrate this milestone, and together we will ensure its benefits are fully realized.

May this be the first of many more transformative projects for our land.
