The Member, Representing Kabba Bunu, Ijumu Federal Constituency, Arch. Salman Idris has been nominated for the Kogi State NUJ Award of Excellence.
The award is in recognition of the Lawmaker’s outstanding representation of the people of Kabba Bunu Ijumu, Federal Constituency in the National Assembly.

Secretary, the nomination followed the giant strides witnessed under Arch. Salman’s representation in the area of infrastructure development and in providing quality legislative engagement.
Furthermore, the award is in recognition of his invaluable contributions to the people of Kabba Bunu Ijumu Federal Constituency, particularly, towards improving the well-being of the people through regular empowerment.
The recognition and award is to be presented and unveiled to you at the Grand finale of the 2025 Kogi NUJ Press Week with the Theme: “Kogi State’s Solid Minerals: How Media Can Drive Development”.
The program is scheduled to hold at the EdgeDrive Hotel Lokoja, 25th September 2025 at 10:00am.
His Excellency, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo, Kogi State Executive Governor, would serve as the Special Guest of Honour at the Press Week Grand finale.
His Royal Majesty, the Ohimegye Igu Kingdom, Alhaji Saidu Akawu Salihu would serve as the Royal father of the day.
