The Chairman of Ebira Peoples Association, (EPA), Lokoja branch,
Comrade Moses Omolori Momoh, has advocated unity among Ebira people living in Lokoja to guarantee progress, development and prosperity.
The chairman who stated this in his acceptance speach during his inauguration at the Riverton Hotel Lokoja, expression gratitude to the people for electing him for a second term as the chairman of the group, saying that he will not betray the confidence reposed in him and the new executive committee.
Speaking further he said “I Promised to continue to champion the cause of the people of Ebira people in Lokoja. I promised not to betray the confidence reposed in me and my executives. I will not take you for granted. He said
Comrade Momoh equally solicited the assistance of the Kogi state Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo to enable the Association complete the abandoned Ebira House in Zango Daji in Lokoja.
“I want to solicit the assistance of the Governor, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo to enable us complete our house in Zango which has remain uncomplicated for over 12 years. That will serve as our identity where our people can converge for our programmes.This is one assistance that the Ebira people in Lokoja will not forget in a hurry.
While thanking the governor for the numerous assistance to Ebira people in Lokoja, he called on the governor to help the market women to improve their business and appointment of more youths into positions to keep them engaged
He said the new executives are open to advise and constructive criticism to ensure the progress of the Association in Lokoja and beyond.
The planning committee chairman,
Abdlulahi Muhammed Ozovehe while noting that the election of executives use to be acrimonious in the past , however praised the people for their peaceful conduct which led to the emergence of the new executives.
“We should have the spirit of forgiveness and working together in unity. As members of the Elders council, we are working with the sole aim of fostering development and progress of Ebira people in Lokoja and Across the globe. We therefore called for the support of all of you.
“I Commended all the various local associations which makes EPA in Lokoja for coming together in unity to ensure the success of the election.
He charged the newly executive members of the Association to work for the progress of Ebira people in Lokoja in Synergy with the EPA national.
The president General if Ebira peoples Association, National, Dr. Godwin Oyibo, commended the people of Ebira people in Lokoja for their peaceful conduct, urging them to sustain this feat.
“I urged you to continue to live in peace and work for the progress of the land and the people. I equally commended the governor for the townhall meetings with the people recently and I encourage him to sustain the tempo, so as to bring development closer to the people.
The highpoint of the occasion was the conferment of an award of excellence on the Kogi State Auditor General of, Hon. Yakubu Adabenege for his numerous assistance to the Association and humanity in general.
The Auditor General of Local Government, Hon. Yakubu Adabenege, who is a special guest at the occasion, called on the people to continue to live in unity and harmony to ensure progress and prosperity of the people of the Association.
He assured the people people that their request for assistance to complete the abandoned Ebira House will be given top priority, saying he will convey their message to the appropriate quarter for urgent action and accelerated result.

Lamidi isah, Treasure and Mrs. SA Bello Financial secretary.
Others are Wosilat Idowu, Women Leader, Sanni Nasiru Youth leader,
Okahi Haruna Public Relations Officer one, Kuburat Isah PRO two and Musa Sule Otu Auditor, among others.
