The Mopa Traditional Council has suspended one Mr. Michael Ajayi, a retired General Manager of the Nigeria Ports Authority, from the council due to gross misconduct. According to a press statement signed by Secretary of the council, Chief Alaiyemo Durojaiye Stephen, pointed out that Ajayi’s conduct was deemed unbecoming of a respected elder in the community. The council expressed concern over Mr Ajayi’s actions, which allegedly aimed to incite community members against each other and potentially compromise security. The statement notified the public that Ajayi can no longer represent the council or community in any capacity, internally or externally.
