**Celebration of Life**
On a solemn occasion filled with gratitude, family, friends, and well-wishers gathered to honor the life of the late Elder Joseph Ogedengbe, who was laid to rest in Lokoja, the capital of Kogi State. This heartfelt celebration took place on May 27th and 28th, 2025, at the Diocese of Lokoja Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, specifically at Crowther Memorial Anglican Church.
The event included a reception of the body, a funeral procession, intercessions, and a Thanksgiving service, all dedicated to commemorating the life of this remarkable gentleman.
The life and legacy of the late Mr. Joseph Ogedengbe serve as a shining testament to his commitment to scholarship, faith, and service to humanity. Born on August 9, 1949, in the tranquil town of Ihima within the Okehi Local Government Area of present-day Kogi State, Nigeria, Joseph Ogedengbe’s journey was characterized by an unwavering pursuit of excellence and a profound devotion to both God and humanity. He is survived by his loving and supportive wife, Mrs. Alice Ogedengbe, and their three wonderful children: Engr. Allen Ogedengbe, Dr. Godwin Ogedengbe, and Dr. Linda Sulle (née Ogedengbe).
Mr. Joseph Ogedengbe was a man of deep wisdom, unwavering integrity, and steadfast faith in God Almighty. He was known for his vibrant spirit, enduring kindness, and generosity, always offering gentle counsel and carrying himself with grace. His absence will be profoundly felt by his family, the church, and the entire Christian community in Lokoja.
