The Etsu Lokoja, HRH Emmanuel Akamisoko Dauda Shelika – Nyamkpa IV, has extended his warm felicitations to Muslims in Lokoja, Kogi State, Nigeria, and around the world on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha celebrations.
In a heartfelt message, signed by Alh. Abdullahi Ndashitte Abubakar, National President, Nupe Natives of Lokoja, the monarch urged Muslims to emulate the sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim and cultivate a spirit of selflessness and community.
The Etsu Lokoja emphasized the importance of sacrifice and devotion during Eid Al-Adha, noting that Muslims should strive to emulate Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice for the greater good.
He encouraged Muslims to eschew greed and self-centeredness, instead focusing on the well-being of their families, communities, and the nation at large.
The monarch also called for peace and unity among Muslims and Nigerians, praising Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and the state government for their efforts in promoting peace and development.
He urged Muslims to devote themselves to prayers for the nation’s leaders and security agencies, who work tirelessly to ensure the safety and security of citizens.
The Etsu Lokoja’s message concluded with a call for hope and devotion, encouraging Muslims to remain law-abiding and committed to the peace and well-being of one another.
He wished Muslims a blessed Eid Al-Adha celebration, praying that Allah would accept their prayers and acts of devotion.
“Let us eschew greed and self-centerdness which are the bane of evils in our society.
“Let us join hands with our Community, Religious and Political leaders, past and present, especially our indefatigable, peace and people loving Governor, His Excellency, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo and members of his Cabinet.
“As well as our dynamic Lokoja Local Government Executive Chairman, Hon. Abdullahi Adamu to continue to push for peace in order for us to enjoy desirable development on all fronts.
“As individuals, let us devote ourselves to prayers for Allah’s intervention in the affairs of our nation, especially for the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu led Government and for our Security Agencies.
“Let us pray for them They are working tirelessly with their lives on the line to ensure the peace, security of life and property of citizens everyday across the nation.
“As we celebrate today, let us remain hopeful, law-abiding and commitment to the peace and well-being of each other,” the monarch said.
