A distinguished philanthropist and community leader, Elder Benjamin Deinde Olowodola, is set to receive a prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award as part of the activities marking the 15th Anniversary Public Lecture of Democracy Newsline Newspaper.
According to Chief Olugbemi Femi, Publisher and Chief Executive Officer, Elder Olowodola’s contributions to the overall development of society and humanity have earned him this well-deserved recognition.
He said the award is based on public opinion polls conducted by a team of experts who acknowledged Elder Olowodola’s significant contributions to his community, including the donation of a multi-million naira skills acquisition center and other philanthropic gestures.
Chief Olugbemi noted that the award ceremony will hold today, August 26, 2025, at the National Merit House in Abuja, starting at 5 pm in the evening.
He said the Ceremony will feature a keynote discussion on “The Role of Independent Media Organizations in Promoting Participatory Democracy and Good Governance in Nigeria.”
Additionally, the event will mark the launch of a N100 million fund for the procurement of podcast studio equipment and the establishment of Democracy Newsline Newspaper’s online television.
This recognition is a testament to Elder Olowodola’s dedication to improving the lives of others.
