The Etsu Lokoja, HRH Emmanuel Akamisoko Dauda Shelika – Nyamkpa IV, , has felicitated with the entire Muslim faithfuls in Lokoja, Kogi State, Nigeria and the world at large on this special occasion of the celebration of the Eid-ul Fitr, marking the completion of the 1446AH Holy Ramadan.
In his felicitation message made available to journalists on Sunday in Lokoja, Dauda Shelika, prayed the Almighty Allah to reward the Muslim faithful with the actualization of their hopes and aspirations for themselves, family and the nation.
“No doubt, this spiritual exercise came with a lot of self discipline, adherence to the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and a lot of moral lessons which includes love, self denial, patience, abstainance from evil among others.
“These attributes should characterize our daily life even as we lived during the Holy month of Ramadan.
“May God (SWT) accept your worship and answer all the your heartfelt prayers. May you be rewarded with the actualization of your hopes and aspirations for yourself, family and the nation.
“May God (SWT) guide our leaders especially His Excellency, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo (the Governor of Kogi State) with wisdom and the fear of God to continue to stir our State to greater heights.
“The Ramadan exercise should remind us that we all have our parts to play if we expect to have a better society.
“In the spirit of the Ramadan, it is important that we eschew evil in all its forms and embrace peace, mutual respect, hard work, kindness and love for one another.
“May God grant us the privilege to celebrate many more Ramadan in good health and prosperity, ameen. Eid Mubarak to all,” the royal father said.
