The former member of Kogi State House of Assembly representing Ogori-Magongo Hon. Gabriel Daudu has defected from the ruling APC to PDP with thousands of his supporters, assuring that his new party will win all elections in the local government area.
Hon. Daudu gave the assurance over the weekend when he led his political followers to the People Democratic Party (PDP) at his country home in Magongo , Ogori-Magongo local government area of Kogi State.
He explained that his desire to abandoned the All Progressive Congress (APC) for PDP was because the strongest opposition party (PDP) has concern for the welfare of the people, noting that he has to come back to the party to contribute his quota to the development of his communities, Kogi State and Nigeria at large.
Hon Daudu a former local Government chairman praised Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan representing Kogi central senatorial district for her commitment and selfless service to humanity especially her impactful projects and empowernment programmes in Ogori-Magonogo and other parts of the central senatorial district aimed at putting smiles on the faces of the downtrodden.

He appealed to PDP leadership to imbibe and display political equity, fairness and justice among members , saying such attributes will definitely make the party strong to face any party and win elections.
Hon. Daudu however called on the people of Ogori-Magonogo to wake up politically before the ruling party make them irrelevant in their own land.
Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan who received Hon. Daudu and his thousands of followers into PDP, described the former lawmaker as a grassroot politician that has electoral value in any election.
She pointed out that in PDP there is no discrimination, assuring that fairness, equity and justice have been the guiding principle of leaders of the party.
While welcoming Hon. Daudu into PDP, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, said that community development has been her source of concern and urged the new members to work together with other members of the party to achieve such objective for Kogi central and indeed Ogori-Magonogo local government area.
“We will not let you and your people down. As you have rightly said that the PDP umbrella is big enough to accommodate all members, I want to assure you that through the ongoing restructuring of the party at the national level we will take over power at the centre in 2027 general election so that members can enjoy more dividends of democracy.
“The PDP umbrella is large to cover every body. We are peace loving people and we preach prosperity in the People Democratic Party (PDP). We will not let you and your supporters down , but we are urging you to go back to your various places to preach peace, unity and togetherness in order to expand our membership.
“I promised that all the new members will work in harmony with existing members of the party for the progress of the PDP just like the way and manner I was received into the party few years ago that today I became a Senator through the mandate of the party.
“All the new members will be given membership cards of the party so that together you contribute your own quota to the success of the party in the forthcoming 2027 elections. I thank you all for your willingness to join PDP and you will be carried along in all our activities as members” he stated.
