The Kogi state Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajia Fatima Momoh has appealed to staff of the Ministry to ensure professionalism in their conduct.

Hajia Fatima Momoh made the appeal at a one day in-house training organized by the Ministry in Lokoja.

The Commissioner who was represented by the Director Administration and Acting Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mrs Faith Ibrahim called for the need to avoid conducts that could bring them to disrepute and advised them to always work towards ensuring that all assignments are carried out professionally.

She noted that it was a privilege to work as staff of the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, and called on them to work with all dedication and commitment, stressing that dedicated staff would be rewarded accordingly.

Hajia Fatima Momoh encouraged them to give attention to all that is taught with a view to ensuring total compliance to the rules and ethics of the ministry and expressed hope that the ministry would be better after the training.

The guest speakers, Mr. Michael Ejeh, Mr. Alfa G, Mr. Ogu Ocheni, and the Director Administration and Acting Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Mrs. Faith Ibrahim described Effective Service Delivery, Financial Procedures in the Civil service, Human Relations and interpersonal skills in work place, Administrative Procedures and Abbreviations in the Office as key factors that enables a staff to be professional in the Civil service.

Speaking at the end of the training, the Director Child in the Ministry, Mrs. Olaniyan Folashade and Director, Social Welfare, Mr. James Sunday Moses described the in-house training as very effective and timely and called for more as it would help keep workers abreast of their duties.
