It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Late Abdul Ben Agenyi, a devoted husband, father, and pillar of his community. Born on July 24, 1964, in Ogbogba, Igalamela-Odolu Local Government Area of Kogi State, Late Abdul Ben Agenyi dedicated his life to service and his community.

Early Life and Education

Late Abdul Ben Agenyi began his educational journey at LGEA School Ajaka (1969-1975) and later attended Idah Secondary Commercial College (1975-1980). He furthered his education with a National Diploma and Higher National Diploma in Statistics from Benue Polytechnic Ugbokolo and Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, respectively.

Career and Community Service

Late Abdul Ben Agenyi served diligently in the civil service from September 22, 1980, until his retirement on September 21, 2015, as Chief Statistics Officer. He was a pioneer First Vice President of Idah Secondary Commercial College Old Students Association (ISCCOSA) from January 2019 to December 2022. His love for his community and commitment to humanity earned him the respect and admiration of his peers, friends, and family.

Funeral Arrangements

Late Abdul Ben Agenyi passed away on May 14, 2025, and was buried according to Islamic rites on May 15, 2025. The 8th Fidau prayers will be held on:

– Date: Wednesday, May 21, 2025
– Time: 10:00 am prompt
– Venue: GRA, near Senator A. A. Ali House, adjacent Late Ogacheko Atanu House, Idah
