KOGI STATE HOTELS AND TOURISM BOARD
Lord Lugard Road, Lokoja, Kogi State.
08051625907
KGS/HTB/SUB/39/VOL.1/66
25th July, 2025
PRESS RELEASE
This letter serves as a formal disclaimer regarding Abidan 115, which has
been operating as a hotel without our knowledge or approval. We want to
emphasize that Abidan 115 is not a registered hotel with the Kogi State Hotels
and Tourism Board.
The Board has not authorized Abidan 115 to operate as a hotel, and we are
not aware of the services it claims to offer. We take a dim view of any
establishment operating without proper registration and adherence to our
standards.
Pursuant to the powers vested in us by the Kogi State House of Assembly, the
Kogi State Hotels and Tourism Board was authorized in 2022 to register and
regulate the activities of hotels in Kogi State. As such, any establishment
operating as a hotel in Kogi State must be registered with and adhere to the
standards set by our Board.
This disclaimer has become necessary in light of recent events, particularly
the discovery of a body at Abidan 115, believed to be a suspect in a serious
crime. In the interest of public safety and awareness, we urge the public to
exercise caution when dealing with Abidan 115, as it does not meet the
standards and requirements expected of registered hotels in Kogi State.
Sincerely,
Ebenezer S. Olu
