KOGI NUP ADVICES RETIREES TO EMBRACE BIO DATA CAPTURE, FIXES 1st TO 15th JULY BY KOGI PENSION COM

As Kogi State Pension Commission , fixed Tuesday -first to Tuesday fifteen of July,2025 for the commencement of Pensioners Verification exercise in the state,the state chairman of the Nigeria Union of Pensioners [NUP],Engr elder Clement Otaru Ohida,has called on retirees to embrace and actively participate in the exercise as it is for their benefit.

The all important exercise tagged, ”’Iam Alive ” is targeted towards ascertaining all Pensioners of State and local government areas are verified.

Speaking in an interview with Newsmen in Lokoja ahead of the exercise, Kogi State chairman of the Union,Engr. Elder ,Clement Otaru Ohida, explained that the verification exercise to be carried out by the state government is design in a seamless way of age and health condition of Pensioners.

According to him, retirees are expected to visit any bank closer to them with their bank verification number [BVN] , added that it is not compulsory to visit bank or travel from their locations whether outside and within the state.

Engr.Ohida,noted that no amount of money should be paid to anybody during the exercise saying that it is only bio data capture , while all Pensioners outside the country should send their travel documents,data page,visa page stamped at the point of departure and arrival, phone numbers, location, address and bring the contents of the letter to the knowledge of all the Pensioners.

He further explained that the Kogi state Pension Commission will established an email portal to enable them forward their details for verification.
