In a significant initiative aimed at enhancing educational access for underprivileged youths, the Kogi State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, in partnership with Prime Polytechnic located in Jida Bassa, Ajaokuta Local Government Area, has unveiled a comprehensive scholarship program that offers 100% tuition-free education to eligible candidates throughout the state.

A joint statement issued by the Ministry and the management of Prime Polytechnic highlights that this initiative is part of the institution’s corporate social responsibility and reflects the state government’s dedication to providing quality education to its less privileged citizens.

The scholarship program will award a total of 1,260 full scholarships over three academic sessions: 2024/2025, 2025/2026, and 2026/2027, with 420 beneficiaries selected for each session. This scholarship encompasses both tuition fees and on-campus accommodation for the entire duration of a two-year National Diploma (ND) program.
