Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir Maikarfe the fourth has called for the sustainance of lessons learnt during the holy month of Ramadan.
In a message to mark the Eid IL Fitri, the Royal father admonished Muslims to always imbibe the lessons of love, tolerance, holiness and generosity.
He felicitated with the Muslim Ummah, the government and people of Kogi State and the people of Lokoja Local government in particular on the successful completion of the Ramadan and the Eid Il Fitri celebration.
According to the traditional ruler, “Muslims have waited upon Allah in the last one month and it is expected that they will reap the reward accordingly “, he stated.
He said the lessons should remain indelible in order to obtain Allah’s mercy and forgiveness, urging the people to pray more at this festive period for the government and those in positions of authority for divine direction.
The Maigari of Lokoja also enjoined the well to do individuals to assist the less privileged at this time of celebration, explaining that such virtue attracts much rewards.
He felicitated with the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, on the successful completion of this year’s Ramadan fast and the celebration of Eid-el-Fitri.
Alhaji Ibrahim saluted the leadership and vision of His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo on the feat attained so far.
He also congratulated the Speaker of the Kogi House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aliyu Umar, and members of the House, the State Chairman of APC, Hon. Abdullahi Bello, the Secretary to the Government of Kogi State, Mrs. Folashade Arike Ayoade (PhD), and other government functionaries on the occasion of the Eid-el-Fitri celebration.
While wishing the Muslim Ummah a successful Eid-el-Fitri celebraion, the Maigari prayed for Allah’s guidance and protection for the First Family in Kogi State and his Cabinet members.
He equally prayed for peace, Devine guidance and good health for the entire Muslims during and after the festive period.
Alhaji Ibrahim assured that Lokoja will.continue to be a pace setter in terms of peace and tranquility as well as all round growth and development.
