The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Kogi Enterprise Development Agency ((KEDA), Alhaji Muhammed Kadiri Okeji has urged the people of the state, especially Muslims, to reach out to the less privileged as they celebrate this year’s El-el-Kabir.
In a Sallah message today in Lokoja, Alhaji Muhammed Kadiri Okeji advised them to continue to promote peace, unity and understanding among all citizens.
The Managing Director called on Muslims to allow the spirit of sacrifice, compassion, and gratitude guide everyone and prayed that the blessings of Allah continue to shine upon everyone.
While commending the Muslim community for their devotion and resilience, Alhaji Muhammed Kadiri Okeji encouraged Muslims to embrace the spirit of empathy and charity by reaching out to the less privileged and people of other faiths during the festive season as a way of enhancing bonds of friendship and brotherhood that promote tolerance, peace and solidarity.
Alhaji Muhammed Kadiri Okeji also congratulated governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, his deputy, Elder Joel Salifu Oyibo as well as members of the Executive Council on the celebration and prayed Allah to always guide them as they pilot the affairs of the state.
The Managing Director admonished all to use the celebrations to re-dedicate themselves to peace, security, friendship and practice the virtue of Islam, as professed by the Prophet Mohammad.
He noted that what is needed by the people of the state is patience and full support for the present administration to be able to accelerate the pace of progress and the desired comprehensive development of the state
