The Kogi State Chapter Chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria, Comr. Ben Jerry has described his stewardship as one that has been eventful, pointing out that under his tenure the Council has made giant strides.
According to Comr. Ben Jerry, under his stewardship the State Government donated a Sienna Bus to the Council, expressed his profound gratitude.
The NYCN Chairman said upon resumption as Chairman, he was able to facilitate the sinking of a Borehole courtesy of Hon. Danladi Aguye.
He praised the administration of Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo for the release of funds for the woman leader of NYCN for treatment.
Comr. Jerry equally expressed appreciation that his tenure helped in the facilitation of appointments and employment for several Kogi Youths, expressed appreciation to the State Government.
Similarly his tenure he said was the first Chairman that was able to push and ensure that a Budgetary allocation of N250m as yearly budget for the NYCN.
He said his administration also developed a website for the NYCN in the State, pointing out that at the click of the State NYCN, it is easy to get updated information of the activities of the Council.
He also notes with nostalgia that he was able to purchase sports equipment for the NYCN, said this has helped in keeping the youths fit and busy after the hard days work.
Furthermore, his tenure he adds purchase Television and standing fans for office use.
He equally adds that his tenure for the first time brought the conduct of democratically elected Council Chairmen at the Local Government Areas, a departure from imposition as was witnessed in the past.
His administration, the State NYCN Chairman said produced the first female Coordinator for NYCN.
While noting that his administration was one that was marked by several litigation upon assumption of office, expressed appreciation to God that not minding the distraction overcome the obstacles, remained focused to deliver on all his promises.
He noted that under his stewardship the NYCN enjoyed sanity, said he brought sanctity to the Kogi NYCN.
He expressed appreciation that his tenure as NYCN Chairman saw a peaceful and united Kogi State Youths who never joined in any form of protest.
He described the current happenings in the State NYCN as normal, occasion by interest arising from election, urged the NYCN to remain calm and to be law abiding.
