The Acting Chief Medical Director CMD of Kogi Specialist Hospital (KSSH) Lokoja, Dr. Oluseyi Folagbade, has pledged firm commitment to advancing quality healthcare delivery and staff welfare at the hospital.
Dr Folagbade, who made the pledge while speaking with news men on Friday in Lokoja, also appreciate Gov. Ahmed Ododo for considering him worthy of the appointment.
The CMD said his mission was to uphold the vision of the hospital’s founding fathers while executing Gov. Ododo’s mandate to deliver accessible and efficient healthcare services to the people of the State.
He expressed profound gratitude to the governor for entrusting him with the hospital’s Leadership, and promised to lead with dedication, transparency, and excellence.
“As someone deeply familiar with this institution, I understand the challenges and aspirations of our staff.
“My priority is to foster a supportive and conducive work environment where everyone can thrive.
“I am fully committed to enhancing staff welfare because a motivated workforce is essential for delivering quality healthcare services. Dr Folagbade said.
He further said his goal is to ensure that residents get optimized premium care, by focusing on the four core values which he has put together as an acronym “CARE”.
“C – Communication/Commitment, A – Availability/Punctuality; R – Relationship and E – Expertise. He analysed.
The CMD assured staff that he would operate an open-door policy, ensuring fairness and equal treatment for all, regardless of tribe, religion, or rank.
“We will ensure that we show patients our commitment and communicate properly while dealing with patients and we will also ensure that we are available point of care, when our patients or clients comes to the hospital.
“We will offer a reliable service while ensuring that we build enduring relationship with our patients or clients.
“we will always offer our expertise at every points when our patients come to us. The CMD said.
Folagbade encourage the staffs of the hospital to work with him and he promised to prioritize staff welfare.
“I need your corporation, commitment and I need you to bring to the table, your expertise and together we will be able to offer the best care that we are called to do.
“We have a robust laboratory and we will ensure that our services are better optimized.
“I want to assure our people that we will improve our services in terms of getting the required man power, equipments and other things that are needed to offer the best laboratory and clinical services. He said.
It would be recalled that Gov. Ododo, appointed Dr. Folagbade as the Acting CMD on March 7, following the completion of Prof. Isah Adagiri’s tenure.
