The Deputy National President, DNP, Nigeria Union of Pensioners, NUP, Chief Onuh Usman Abdullahi has felicitated with Christians on the occasion of Easter celebration.
Chief Onuh Abdullahi in his Easter message urged Christians to continue to emulate the virtues of Jesus Christ which include love, peace , sacrifice and patience which he stressed are pillars of a just society.
According to him, the season also called for sustained prayers for Kogi State and Nigeria as a country for greater days ahead.
He equally expressed his appreciation to Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo, the Special Adviser on Labour Matters, Comrade Onuh Edoka, the Leadership of NLC and Organised Labour and all relevant stakeholders for his recent emergence in a keenly contested election in Kano, Kano State.
The DNP promised to work with other executive members to improve upon the welfare of pensioners nationwide and also justify the confidence reposed in him.
Speaking after the election, the Deputy National President of the NUP described the contest as a very heart warming to him in view of the massive support received nationwide by delegates to clinch the office.
Chief Onuh assured members of the Union that efforts will be made by the new Executive to improve on welfare of pensioners nationwide in conjunction with relevant stakeholders.
He expressed appreciation to all who stood by him especially delegates nationwide for the trust, promising to justify the confidence reposed in him.
