The shocking news of the death of my very dear bosom friend, Late Michael Olufunmise Boro, came to me as a shock wave, tragic and surreal. He has gone without saying goodbye. I never saw death coming to snatch you so suddenly, very devastating indeed.
I have known you for over four decades and I have always admired your deep sense of loyalty, purpose and getting things done properly.
You were one of the most trustworthy, hardworking and pragmatic friends and colleagues that I have, and you always demonstrated humility and understanding even when faced with the most peculiar and daunting challenges. During your wedding, I served as your best man.
Also on August 17th, 2001, you honoured me to serve as my best man during my wedding ceremony, what a friend indeed!
Mike, for one day, I have no regrets to have known you.
There is however consolation in that even in death, you are still loved and forever will be.
Mike, you will be sorely missed. Sleep well my good friend and I expect to meet you one day in heaven where we wil all live for eternity.
My prayer is that God Almighty will be with your family and acquaintances. Rest in peace.
Adieu Mike Boro!
