The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Mopamuro Local Government Area, Hon. Bola Omoniwa and his loyalists have officially decamped to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Hon. Bola Omoniwa and others officially decamped to APC on Friday at his hometown, Takete-Ide Amuro.
In his speech, he expressed appreciation to the Commissioner for Information and Communications in the state, Hon. Kingsley Femi Fanwo for the love he has shown through the encouragement, which led him to join the party.
He described his joining the party as the right decision and pledged his maximum support towards strengthening ward 07 for better representation.
Hon. Omoniwa stated that the excellent performance of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman in the state propelled him to join the APC, stressing that he believed in his transformative development and urged the people to be patient with President Tinubu and Governor Ododo as they have a lot to offer through programmes, initiatives aimed at taking the state to the promised land.
“I want to tell you that the performance of our dear President, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and that of our amiable Chief Servant, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has propelled me to join APC. They are performing wonderfully well with their policies and programmes,” he emphasized.
While receiving Hon. Omoniwa to the APC, the Ward 07 Party Chairman,
Hon. Olugbayi Meseko described the decision of the former PDP Chairman as a positive development, emphasizing that it was home coming.
The APC Ward Chairman assured that there would be level playing ground for all and appealed to him to work in order to make the party stronger.
Others present at the ceremony include Hon. Temidayo Samuel Mark, ward 07 councillor; Hon. Mayowa Ernest, and the Supervisory Councillor for Education.
Highlight of the event was the presentation of broom to the defector as a symbol of the party, APC.
