The Crown & The Crucible: A Letter to the Discerning”

### **I. The Lie We Swallow**
We are a generation starving at the banquet of truth. We chew on husks—empty accolades, hollow titles, the bare minimum disguised as greatness. *”He brings home a paycheck”*—as if a man deserves praise for breathing. Since when did the baseline become the pinnacle? Since when did *”not a criminal”* qualify as *”a king”*?

**Proverbs 12:11** *”Those who work their land will have abundant food, but those who chase fantasies have no sense.”*
A man who works is not exceptional; he is obedient. A man who does not lie is not a saint; he is human. Yet we clap for mediocrity because we have forgotten the weight of glory.

—

### **II. The Eagle’s Counsel**
She spoke plainly, but only the wise heard her. *”If he is good,”* she said—not *”if he exists.”* Not *”if he is present.”* **Good.** *Tov.* *Kalos.* The kind of good that reflects the Father’s hands. A man who provides is doing his duty (1 Timothy 5:8). But provision without purity is a ticking clock.

**Matthew 7:16-20** *”By their fruit you will recognize them… A good tree cannot bear bad fruit.”*
Does he honor you when no one is watching? Does his yes mean yes, and his no mean no (James 5:12)? Or is his character a shifting shadow, his loyalty a transaction?

The Holy Spirit does not whisper to fools. He speaks to those who *listen.* And when He says *”go,”* only the coward stays to negotiate with bondage.

—

### **III. The Unseen Crown**
A king is not made by a title but by his dominion. **Adam was given a garden before he was given a wife.** A man who cannot steward his own spirit will bankrupt a home.

**Proverbs 25:28** *”Like a city whose walls are broken through is a person who lacks self-control.”*
Why celebrate a man who builds a house but tears it down with his hands? Why kneel to a crown that rusts?

—

### **IV. The Rising**
To the woman who has been told to settle: **you are not a landfill.** To the man who has confused existence with excellence: **awaken.** The eagle does not beg for scraps; it soars on thermals of divine timing.

**Isaiah 40:31** *”But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles…”*
You were not created to endure poison and call it love. You were crafted to *reign.*

—

### **V. The Final Decree**
Let this be etched into your spirit:
– **A provider who abuses is a thief.** He steals peace and calls it “love.”
– **A faithful man is not a unicorn.** He is the standard.
– **The Holy Spirit is not a suggestion.** He is your compass.

**Micah 6:8** *”He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.”*

If the palace burns, let it burn. **What rises from the ashes will be fit for a king.**

—

**Signed,**
**Oluwafemi Adekunle Adedeji Daniel Iselaiye**
*(BinTinlaiyé Lojú Eiye Awodi)*
*”The eagle does not explain its altitude—it simply claims the sky.”*

—

**Power Question for Reflection:**
*If “good” feels rare, have we redefined it—or have we simply forgotten it?*

—

This letter is a **trumpet blast**, not a whisper. Share it with the sleeping. The deceived. The ones who’ve been applauding breadcrumbs. **The truth is here. Who has ears to hear?**

🔥 **Drop a “🦅” if you’re rising.** 🔥
