In a heartfelt visit that reflected humility, tradition, and purpose, Almaruf Salmonu, a successful businessman and political aspirant seeking to represent Yagba East Constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), paid a courtesy visit to his immediate family to seek blessings and prayers ahead of his political journey.
The visit, held at the family compound in Yagba East Local Government Area, brought together relatives, elders, and community members who expressed strong support for his ambition and commended his courage to serve the people.
Speaking during the visit, Almaruf Salmonu reaffirmed his commitment to credible leadership, service, and development for his constituency.
“Family is the foundation of every journey,” he said. “Before seeking the people’s mandate, I believe it is only right to seek the blessings of those who nurtured me and share in my vision to contribute meaningfully to our state’s growth.”
In his remarks, Chief Tajudeen Bismillai, a respected family elder and political mentor, offered prayers of guidance and success, urging him to remain steadfast, truthful, and people-focused throughout the campaign and beyond.
He expressed confidence that Almaruf Salmonu would bring positive change and progressive representation if elected.
As the political season gathers momentum, the business tycoon and aspirant continues to engage key stakeholders, grassroots supporters, and opinion leaders as part of his consultative and inclusive approach to leadership.
Meanwhile, Professor Nana Bature of the Faculty of Management Sciences, University of Abuja, described Almaruf as a man of integrity and exceptional leadership quality.
According to her, “Leadership is not about position but service to humanity, and you are already living that example.”
She further prayed for God’s blessings on the aspirant, especially as he recently marked his birthday on October 11, 2025, a celebration that drew friends, family, and well-wishers.
